I am Amazon, hear me roar!

Apparently, small presses are also now feeling the strong arm tactics by Amazon.com. This started with Amazon saying that any POD book that is sold on Amazon.com must be printed by BookSurge. Those who don't comply, will have the buy button on their page "turned off."

For those of you who may not be up to speed or want a quick refresher course of what exactly is going on, you can find out at the Writer's Weekly website.

Yet another giant corporation trying to intimidate the little guy.

Didn't Microsoft try this before? If Amazon and these other mega-corporations keep that up, it could very well just drive people to the competition like Barnes and Noble.com and Overstock.com.

Well, that's the way things work. Either learn to accept it or quit your whining and do something about it. Besides, you know perfectly well that these large corporations are going to continue with what they're doing as long as people are willing to roll over for it. Wal-Mart anyone?

By the way, despite your loathing for Amazon.com, I noticed you still link to it. Kind of hypocritical of you, don't you think?

I never said that I loathed Amazon.com. I was merely pointing out that they are using the same tactics that other corporations use to corner a market.
