The Writer Did it!

One of the classic mystery TV shows is "Murder She Wrote." For those few who don't know the show, it stars Angela Lansbury as cozy mystery writer Jessica Fletcher. Tom Bosley is a local police chief. Every week, someone is murdered and Ms. Fletcher solves the case sixty minutes later.

Here's my random thought: Why is it that no matter where she goes, someone winds up getting killed? The answer is simple: She's committing then solving the murders. I mean think about it, everywhere Jessica goes, someone winds up dead, and she is the only one who can solve the case. Doesn't that seem just the slightest bit odd?

Okay, okay. I know that's silly, but it's fun to come up with these theories every so often.

How could you even suggest such a thing as ridiculous as that? Mrs. Fletcher just happened to be at the right place at the right time to solve the murder. If it wasn't for her, that incompetent police chief certainly wouldn't have solved the crime.
I understand that it's just a random thought, but it isn't a very good one.
But if you look at today's crime shows, like Law and Order, they are more graphic than Murder She Wrote.

My father always said that if Jessica Fletcher showed up one day he'd immediately leave town, lol.
